Bright graduates required for two new roles at a top ten law firm. You will be based in their stunning City office within the large, busy and social Finance team.

Salary is £20k - £21k for both roles plus excellent benefits including a profit share scheme, GP service and Season Ticket Loan, and a bespoke benefit scheme including dental cover, gym membership, holiday buy/sell, BUPA and many other benefits.

1) Conflicts Assistant: Conducting conflict checks on clients and setting up, maintaining and monitoring the firm's information barriers (training will be provided)

Duties:

• Researching potential conflicts via searches on in-house & external databases

• Reviewing results of searches

• Communicating with staff regarding results/progress

• Checking on a regular basis that electronic security and new team member rules have not been breached

Skills:

• Excellent research and analytical skills;

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;

• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;

• Excellent verbal, written and face to face communication skills;

• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;


2) File Opening Assistant: To ensure the accurate recording of client related information and using this information to assist lawyers & secretaries by responding to their enquiries.

Skills required:

• Previous client database experience useful;

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy;

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;

• Excellent verbal, written and face to face communication skills;

• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;

Top International City law firm requires a Graduate Recruitment Assistant to join their HR & Training team of 10. Based in a stunning City location, this position offers scope for the successful applicant to expand and develop the role. Applicants should have some experience in HR/graduate Recruitment, possess good written and verbal communication skills and be fully PC literate with some experience of database or recruitment software. You should be friendly, outgoing and approachable; quick to build rapport with people; adaptable under pressure and able to meet conflicting demands; able to plan, prioritise, and be well organised; and be able to work as part of a team.

You will working closely with the HR Manager responsible for graduate recruitment and trainee welfare as well as other members of the HR team. The role is cyclical in nature, deadline driven and has natural 'busy', (March and September) and 'quiet' times, (April/May) during the course of the year.


Main responsibilities to include:

• Supporting the HR generalist service to around 30 trainee solicitors and 35 future trainees

• Organising and co-ordinating Summer Placement Scheme & Assessment Centres

• Organising and arranging attendance at law fairs (approx 12 across the UK)

• Assisting the HR Manager in delivering law fair training to trainees involved in law fair recruitment

• Maintaining existing and build further relationships with university careers services and law schools

• Arranging payment of course fees and maintenance fees for incoming trainees

• Arranging trainee inductions (twice yearly): this is a key duty and involves extensive liaison with support staff professionals across a variety of departments and is a complex, yet rewarding process

• Arranging trainee appraisals, social events, training and overseas secondments

• Dealing with trainee absence and holiday queries and maintaining records

• Assisting the HR Manager with the trainee seating allocation

• Co-ordinating the qualification process

• Data input to the online application system and annual reporting
